Using Other People's Resources, Part 1Do you want to become wealthy? Are you interested in becoming successful - and having more time? Learn to outsource as much of your work as possible. Many business people I have spoken to attempt to do all the work in their business themselves. That is completely unnecessary, and leads to the business owning the owner. Isn't that backwards? We all outsource things we cannot or do not want to do. For example, as a busy mother and business owner, I don't have time to plan menus for the week. Instead, I subscribe to a service that provides me with a grocery list, a week's worth of menus, and the recipes for the main dishes. I simply print the list, add breakfast and a few lunch items, and head off to the store. No thinking involved. It is important for business people to learn to delegate or outsource their work. Without this skill, business people face burnout. Delegation or outsourcing also increases personal time. Unfortunately, many small business owners tend to think like employees. The all-too-prevalent mentality is, "If I don't do it myself, I won't know that it is done right." Big business always gets taht way by leveraging other people's resources, one of which is time. We all have the same 24 hours in the day, so if we're exchanging hours for dollars, we're limited by the number of hours we can work. If we want to be wealthy, it is vital that we learn to earn money on other people's time. For more information on leveraging time, please contact Busy Bee Virtual Assistance.
